Happy Anniversary!
I had first planned on opening Harmony Counseling on March 1, 2013. As you may know, not all things go according to plan and my opening date moved to February 6th. That was my first official full day. However I saw my first client in my new space the evening of February 1, 2013. The space was not quite ready enough and a very dear friend met me @ 5:30 AM to hang window treatments (Roman shades and valances) while I “frosted” the glass door to my office. When we left the office @8:30 AM the office looked and felt as welcoming as I had envisioned.
Since then it has been a whirlwind, and the 6 months leading up to the opening were pretty intense also! I haven’t taken that much time to reflect and give thanks. It was only last week when I realized the significance of the approaching day.
I give thanks to and for many people. Some of them are very private individuals who would not be appreciative of a web shout-out and out of respect for those people I will not name any. I am blessed to have my life filled with wonderful people who care for me, nurture me and provide me with a safety net allowing me to step forward in achieving my goals.
I am continuously humbled by my clients. I am respectful of your experiences and admire your courage and resiliency. I am grateful that you have chosen me to be part of your safety net. I am honored to be part of your journey in healing and transforming. Thank you for your trust.
